About the job you're considering: We're looking for a hands-on Senior Network Platform Engineer to build and operate large-scale cloud-native infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes networking, AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and observability, with a passion for performance, automation, and reliability.
Your role: - Design and manage AWS networking (VPCs, Security Groups, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, DNS Firewalls)
- Configure, operate, and scale Kubernetes clusters
- Implement and optimize Cilium, CNIs, Egress Gateway, and Network Policies
- Build reusable Terraform modules and automate infrastructure deployment
- Performance test and tune Kubernetes-native networking components
- Develop Kubernetes controllers/operators using Go
- Build monitoring and alerting solutions using Grafana & Prometheus
- Collaborate with platform, SRE, security, and engineering teams
Must have skills: - Strong Kubernetes administration and networking experience
- Deep knowledge of AWS networking services
- Hands-on Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise
- Experience with Cilium and Kubernetes Network Policies
- Golang development experience is a plus
- Experience with the Grafana and Prometheus observability stack is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills mandatory
Nice to Have: - Amazon EKS
- Advanced eBPF/Cilium advanced networking
- ArgoCD or Flux (GitOps)
- CKA/CKS certifications
- AWS Networking or Solutions Architect certifications
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: CAD 68,874 - CAD 147,504
