Full Job Description
Advanced Alloys & Solutions (AA&S) is generating approximately $2.3 billion in annual revenue. The segment is comprised of Specialty Alloys & Components (SA&C) & Specialty Rolled Products (SRP).

ATI is seeking a Senior Director, Operational Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), reporting to the Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis, to serve as a strategic finance leader supporting the AA&S business segment. This highly visible role partners closely with business unit finance leaders and operational leadership to improve financial performance, enhance decision-making, and drive operational excellence across a complex manufacturing portfolio.

The Senior Director will lead operational forecasting, annual and long-range planning, capital investment analysis, working capital optimization, and profitability improvement initiatives across the AA&S segment. The successful candidate will combine deep operational finance expertise with strong business partnership skills to influence executive leaders, standardize financial processes, identify opportunities, and improve business performance.

This position works extensively with manufacturing operations, commercial teams, supply chain, and finance leadership to evaluate financial results, assess operational performance, support strategic investments, and drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.

The preferred location for this role is Pittsburgh, PA. Secondary consideration for ATI's Corporate Headquarters in Dallas, Texas will be considered, however, it would require travel up to 50-60% during the first year to build relationships and gain a deep understanding of operations across the AA&S manufacturing network, with travel expected to decrease thereafter.

We would be open to candidates sitting out of one of our other sites, with similar travel requirements. (Milwaukee, Charlotte, or Oregon).

Responsibilities
  • Travel up to 60% throughout ATI's Advanced Alloys & Solutions (AA&S) manufacturing operations during the first year to develop a deep understanding of plant operations, build relationships with business leaders, and drive operational and financial performance. Travel is expected to decrease to approximately 40% in subsequent years.
  • Leverage internal and external information to analyze financial results, understand key deliverables, and identify risks and opportunities that are critical to the success of ATI
  • Review significant growth and cost reduction initiatives including capital projects, long-term agreements, and cost reductions
  • Perform monthly and quarterly income and cash projections
  • Develop and review presentations for business leaders
  • Ensure delivery of financial commitments, drive standardization initiatives, and assist with streamlining financial reporting processes
  • Perform Capital expenditure analysis reviews
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed financial analysis and reports to support business units and executive decision-making
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities, and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, while continuously improving processes and systems
  • Lead or participate in ad-hoc analysis on business performance or special projects
  • Consolidation of annual and five-year strategic business plans for focused business units
  • Implement change management and continuous improvement across the finance organization
  • Set clear objectives and performance expectations ensuring alignment with broader company goals
