Senior Director - Funds

Fitch Ratings' Funds & Asset Management group is currently seeking a Senior Director.

Fitch Ratings' Funds & Asset Management group is a global team responsible for fund ratings analysis, methodology and model development, and publication of research on analytical and regulatory developments affecting the asset management sector. The group analyzes and publishes research on fund finance (subscription facilities, NAV loans, CFOs, and rated feeders), leveraged closed end funds (CEFs), money market funds (MMFs), bonds funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), local government investment pools (LGIPs), and asset managers.

We'll Count on You To:
  • Set strategic direction for the team and drive execution of key initiatives, including development of new rating methodologies, models, operational infrastructure, and research
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members, and support the group's continued growth
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with investors, bankers, and fund managers; represent Fitch at industry events and webinars
  • Evaluate complex transactions involving funds and structured products, integrating quantitative modelling, qualitative analysis, and legal documentation review
  • Lead due diligence meetings with fund managers and lenders
  • Produce research on trends and developments across covered sectors
  • Chair rating committees and provide analytical guidance


What You Need to Have:
  • Solid experience in credit analysis, with exposure to funds or structured finance a plus
  • Proven experience managing teams and delivering multi-stakeholder complex projects
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Sound academic track record to at least first university degree level, preferably in finance, economics, statistics, accounting, or computer science
