Interscope Geffen A&M Records ("IGA") is home to some of the biggest artists in the world including U2, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Lady Gaga, and many more. As a leader in the music industry, we are always looking for talented and driven individuals to join our family.

How we LEAD:

Interscope is currently seeking a Senior Director, Digital Marketing for our Santa Monica, CA office. The Senior Director will spearhead digital marketing initiatives for the label's Hip Hop and R&B roster. They are responsible for building out the digital, mobile and social components of an artist's overall marketing plan - including but not limited to: digital promotions, artists website development and optimization, fan acquisition and engagement, creation/implementation of digital tools and products to increase fan engagement, paid media campaigns, etc.

How you'll CREATE:
  • Lead the strategy, development, and execution of comprehensive digital marketing plans for a roster of artists across all digital platforms
  • Serve as a senior strategic partner to artists, artist management, and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted resource for digital best practices and campaign optimization
  • Oversee and guide the creation, management, and optimization of artist online properties, including social platforms, artist websites, video channels, and emerging digital platforms
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of digital marketers
  • Work cross-departmentally with marketing, artist development, media planning, streaming, creative, production, and press teams to ensure cohesive and effective digital campaigns
  • Develop and maintain relationships with digital platforms, label partners, creators, and third-party marketing companies to maximize artist reach and impact
  • Oversee creator marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with artist branding and campaign objectives with a team of creator marketing specialists
  • Drive social media growth and fan engagement through innovative content strategies, community management, and platform-specific optimization with a team of specialists
  • Lead the planning, budgeting, and execution of paid media campaigns in partnership with media planners/buyers
  • Guide the development of short-form digital content in collaboration with in-house and third-party creators, including social content, video series, live streams, and emerging formats
  • Oversee live-stream planning, execution, and post-campaign optimization with content and creative teams
  • Build and grow artists' owned audiences by developing data capture strategies and direct-to-fan initiatives across platforms
  • Analyze campaign performance, consumer trends, and digital metrics to evaluate effectiveness, optimize strategies, and present insights and key learnings to senior leadership
  • Manage artist digital budgets, forecasting, and invoicing, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong ROI
  • Stay ahead of digital trends, emerging platforms, and new marketing opportunities to continually evolve digital strategy and innovation
  • Actively participate in senior leadership discussions, team planning, and label-wide strategic initiatives

  • Must have 7-10+ years of experience in digital marketing within the music industry, preferably at a major label.
  • Strong analytical background and ability to create and update reports.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams (strong project management, organization, and communication skills)
  • Ambitious individual sought who is a self-starter requiring minimal direction.
  • Excellent communication oral and written skills are a must. Candidate will be collaborating with presenting campaigns to and contextualizing results for a broad audience every week.
  • Social strategy and paid media planning experience preferred.
  • Must be proficient with using Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote, Photoshop, video editing software (Premiere or Final Cut), and comfortable with collaboration and asset management tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, Evernote, Basecamp and the like.
  • Must thrive in a team environment but be able to take initiative and work independently.
  • Candidate must have strong computer knowledge of various music applications and excellent knowledge of the Internet.
  • Candidate must be motivated, creative, innovative, organized, detail-oriented and accustomed to working under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
