Job Title: Senior Director, Business Development - HealthClearance Required: NoWork Location: Vienna, VAWe are seeking a highly motivated Senior Director, Business Development to join our team, specializing in identifying and qualifying opportunities within the Federal sector, with expertise within the Health domain, including Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Veteran's Affairs, and Defense Health Agency. This role drives strategic growth by developing customer relationships, expanding the opportunity pipeline, leading capture activities, and collaborating with delivery, proposal, and executive leadership teams to achieve revenue and business growth objectives.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the federal acquisition process, agency missions, information technology modernization initiatives, and Federal relationships and industry players. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of shepherding new opportunities from identification to win. This individual will have experience with the front end of the BD process (networking, attending events, etc) through to putting together a winning team, red team reviews, and finally winning new work.
Key Responsibilities:- Qualification to Capture and Strategic Pipeline Development:
- Develop and execute account growth strategies for assigned federal Health agencies.
- Preferred experience developing full and open work.
- Qualify leads and opportunities based on established criteria and strategic objectives, opportunities with a focus on Cyber, AI, or Digital Modernization.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within federal Health agencies.
- Promote deals from Qualify to Capture within reasonable timeframes.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within federal Health agencies.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and strategic priorities.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with agency leadership and program offices.
- Proposal Development Support:
- Collaborate with proposal teams to develop compelling, compliant, and competitive proposals.
- Provide input on technical and business strategies to enhance proposal success.
- Participate in proposal reviews, color teams, and executive evaluations.
- Support oral presentations and customer demonstrations.
- Market Intelligence and Strategy Development:
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activities impacting HHS.
- Conduct thorough research and analysis of the Federal market landscape, focusing on HHS.
- Support annual growth planning, pipeline forecasting, and revenue projections, aligned to organizational goals.
- Networking and Industry Engagement:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
- Build and maintain a professional network of contacts to support business development efforts.
- Opportunity Identification and Reporting:
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, including contracts, partnerships, and collaborations.
- Provide summary and detail information to growth team and executives on status on, challenges in, and needs to pursue opportunities.
- Partner Development
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with prime contractors, subcontractors, and technology providers.
- Negotiate teaming agreements and partnership arrangements.
- Expand relationships with key industry organizations to increase market access.
Required Qualifications:Required Experience/Skills:- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in business development within the Federal sector, with a focus on HHS.
- Proven track record of successfully identifying, qualifying, and capturing net new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of Federal procurement processes, including familiarity with HHS procurement procedures preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in business or technical field.

Salary and Benefit Information:The likely salary range for this position is $150,000- $200,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
