Opportunity OverviewThe Platform-DC Systems Engineering position is a technical leadership role responsible for defining the direction of DC instrumentation across our ATE platforms. This role owns the instrument and platform-level architecture decisions that shape how our DC product lines evolve. That work involves evaluating emerging device, packaging, and power delivery technologies, then translating them into instrumentation capability that gives our customers a measurable test advantage.
The ideal candidate pairs deep expertise in power and precision analog design with systems-level judgment and leads through influence by driving architecture decisions and negotiating requirements and trade-offs across hardware, software, firmware, and test methodology.
- Define DC instrumentation and platform requirements and guide the product roadmap for Teradyne's UltraFLEXplus tester, evaluating emerging semiconductor technologies, advanced packaging innovations, and power delivery architectures to identify opportunities for differentiated test capability.
- Drive critical architecture decisions and technical trade-offs across DC instrumentation platforms, balancing performance, accuracy, cost, scalability, and long-term viability.
- Serve as the technical authority for DC system architecture shaping engineering investment across organizations and partnering with hardware, software, systems, marketing, and product management to translate customer and market requirements into development priorities.
- Represent Teradyne in customer engagements, technical conferences, industry forums, and standards organizations to gather technical voice-of-customer input and influence future technology direction.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across organizational boundaries to solve complex system-level challenges.
