As a Senior Corporate Development and Planning Analyst, you serve as the lead analyst for complex financial projects within Corporate Development and Capital Planning, ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational mission, values, and strategic objectives. In this role, you will support enterprise strategy, organizational planning, and operational leadership to effectively manage major growth initiatives including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, affiliations, and alliances. You will also assess the financial impact of strategic capital requests through comprehensive business plan evaluations, initiative prioritization, and data-driven recommendations.

A caregiver in this position works remotely out of Northeast Ohio from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m.

Candidates must be local to the Northeast Ohio area to attend occasional town halls or on-site project work as needed.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Create and edit financial assessments of assigned significant enterprise strategic partnering transactions and reports findings and recommendations to department leadership along with all levels of senior leadership as necessary.

  • Work closely with Strategy Office, Legal, Tax, Corporate Finance, Clinical Institutes and other internal and external subject matter experts to develop comprehensive business plans, risk assessments and sensitivity analyses.

  • Provide lead analytical support as necessary for assessing and prioritizing strategic capital initiatives in conjunction with the overall capital planning cycle.

  • Prepare, analyze and communicate key financial information.

  • Assist withpreparationand review of business plans and provide reporting on capital initiatives and process

  • Execute strategic and complex departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

  • Demonstrate functional knowledge of applicable statutory, regulatory and administrative requirements relative to operations and ensure compliance with the same.

  • Develop and continuously update a portfolio of organizational performance improvement initiatives as advised by department leadership

  • Potential ad hoc assignments involving complex financial modeling and selected topic deep dives.

  • Provide supervision and leadership for Analyst corporate development staff

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related field

  • Three years of functionally related experience

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously along with meeting firm deadlines

  • Solid understanding of financial complexities for strategic partnering transactions, including due diligence, financial modeling (income statement, balance sheet and cash flows), scenario development, valuation, NPV/IRR and risk assessment

  • Demonstrated understanding of finance key performance indicators, cash flow analysis, product line analysis and proposal development

  • Ability to provide complex analytical, consultative and information support through analysis and report preparation

  • Understanding and experience with internal data systems to efficiently utilize in preparing various financial analyses

  • Ability to communicate to department leadership

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Master's degree in Business, healthcare or related area

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Certified Managed Accountant (CMA) certification

  • Financial modeling experience

  • Understanding of valuation concepts (IRR, ROI, NPV) (Internal rate of return, return on investment and net present value)

  • Experience with financial valuation and modeling

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.

  • Ability to work with physical records or operate a computer or other office equipment.

  • In some locations, ability to travel throughout the hospital system.

  • In some locations ability to move up to 25 lbs.
