Full Job Description

As a Senior Claim Examiner at Coaction, you will join a dynamic, fast-paced claims organization focused on managing complex Professional Liability matters. This role is integral to delivering exceptional claims service across Fidelity Bond and Miscellaneous Professional lines, including Errors & Omissions (E&O), Employment Practices Liability (EPL), and Directors & Officers (D&O) claims on both a primary and excess basis.


Leveraging deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset, you will oversee the full claims lifecycle—ensuring high-quality investigations, timely resolution, and alignment with corporate objectives, regulatory requirements, and Coaction’s claim handling guidelines.

Key Responsibilities


Claims Oversight & Strategy


•Manage end-to-end handling of complex Professional Liability claims, including investigation, coverage analysis, reserving, litigation management, and resolution.
•Evaluate and assign new claims based on complexity, jurisdiction, and expertise.
•Maintain a proactive diary system to track key milestones and ensure adherence to service standards.
•Ensure timely, strategic decision-making aligned with business and client goals.


Technical Expertise
•Provide hands-on claims management for Fidelity Bond, D&O, E&O, and EPL matters.
• Direct litigation strategy in collaboration with defense counsel, including attendance at mediations, settlement conferences, and trials.
•Analyze coverage issues, liability exposures, and damages with precision and sound judgment.


Client & Broker Engagement


•Serve as a primary claims liaison for key accounts and specialty programs in partnership with Professional Liability leadership.
•Lead and participate in claim review meetings; analyze trends and present insights to internal and external stakeholders.
•Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, insureds, and risk managers to deliver high-quality, tailored service.


Internal Collaboration


•Partner closely with Underwriting, Risk Management, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment with broader business objectives.
•Provide insights on claims trends, emerging risks, and loss drivers to inform underwriting strategy and product development.
•Contribute to cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness.


Process Optimization & Compliance


•Drive continuous improvement in claims handling processes, workflows, and best practices.
•Ensure full compliance with Coaction Claim Handling Guidelines and Protocols, as well as all applicable regulatory requirements and NAIC guidance.
•Maintain strong documentation and audit readiness standards.

Salary range specific to for this role: $103,000-$168,000 + discretionary incentive bonus + benefits depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, and qualifications. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
