Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marine Civil Construction Engineer to join our project. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining and managing marine permits and overseeing marine civil construction activities, ensuring all activities are completed safely, in compliance with regulatory requirements, to the required quality standards, in an environmentally responsible manner, and within approved schedules and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversees technical interpretation of construction documents and drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment.
- Manage site activities and provide daily reports to the Senior Manager
- Communicate with subcontractors and coordinate site operations
- Perform site environmental management duties
- Support the civil senior manager in project planning and execution tasks.
- Promptly identify and manage conflicts and disputes, focusing on developing mutually acceptable solutions aligned with the contractual agreements.
- Maintains data in required information systems or databases, and utilizes required software.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state/city regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Over 15 years of experience in civil construction engineering or similar roles
- Strong understanding of construction drawings and construction practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- EIT certification, engineering licensure, or working towards licensure is an advantage
- Effective teamwork and communication skills
Preferred
- Experience in marine permitting
- Bilingual in English and Korean preferred but not required.
Additional Information
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Weekend work may be required depending on the project schedule

Work Environment
Work is performed in a variety of environments ranging from the office to construction sites, which may involve working near moving mechanical parts, equipment, or machinery on rough or uneven surfaces, and exposure to dust, noise, chemicals, odors, gas, oils, fumes, extreme temperatures, or heights. May occasionally be exposed to inclement or hazardous conditions, including but not limited to inadequate lighting, work space restrictions, and intense noises and travel; requiring moderate physical activities.
