Overview

TRC is seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer/Project Manager to support our engineering practice in New York City.

The position requires a strong technical background in stormwater management, regulatory compliance, and environmental engineering and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and perform design work.
  • Develop and track multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents.
  • Work well with dynamic project teams.
  • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, and are responsible for implementation of the firms' quality procedures at project and task levels.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials.
  • Develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Prioritize health and safety.
  • Maintain a billable hour utilization target.
  • Work to cross-sell TRC services and increase business.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, develop technical and cost proposals, and deliver responsive, high-quality services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field of study.
  • 5- 10 years' experience with civil/environmental engineering/consulting firms.
  • Experience with stormwater management design, permitting, and inspection in New York State and New York City.
  • Skills in budgeting, scheduling, procurement and coordination of internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Technical project expertise in environmental investigations, remediation, environmental compliance.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials.
  • In-field experience performing stormwater compliance, SPCC plan, and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan inspections, and environmental remediation work.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current annual refresher, and 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisors certification.
  • Have strong communications skills, both written and oral.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
