JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a visionary and highly skilled Senior Business Intelligence Developer to spearhead the evolution of our analytics ecosystem. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional business intelligence and modern artificial intelligence. You will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade analytics solutions using Tableau, while integrating cutting-edge AI tools (such as generative AI, automated machine learning, and predictive analytics) to transform raw data into autonomous, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

BI Architecture & Dashboard Engineering

  • Design, build, and maintain highly interactive, scalable, and visually compelling dashboards in both Tableau.
  • Optimize complex data models, DAX queries, and Tableau calculations to ensure rapid report performance and seamless user experience.
  • Migrate legacy reporting systems into modern, AI-augmented BI frameworks.

AI Integration & Advanced Analytics

  • Embed native and third-party AI functionalities (e.g., Tableau Pulse, Einstein AI) into the analytics workflow to provide predictive insights and natural language querying.
  • Collaborate with data science teams to operationalize machine learning (ML) models, bringing predictive and prescriptive data directly into executive-level dashboards.
  • Leverage Generative AI tools to automate data preparation, code generation (SQL/DAX/Python), and insight summarization.

Data Engineering & Governance

  • Write complex, optimized SQL queries and build efficient data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from cloud warehouses (e.g., SSIS ,Databricks, BigQuery or Snowflake,).
  • Implement robust row-level security (RLS) and data governance policies within BI environments.

Strategy & Collaboration

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) on emerging AI and BI trends, recommending new tools and frameworks to keep the organization ahead of the curve.
  • Translate complex business requirements from non-technical stakeholders into robust technical blueprints.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Core

  • BI Expertise: 8+ years of professional experience writing advanced calculations, data modeling, and developing enterprise-scale deployments inTableau.
  • AI & Advanced Analytics: Hands-on experience deploying modern AI/BI features.
  • Data Languages: Expert-level proficiency in SQL. Strong working knowledge of Python or R for advanced data manipulation and statistical modeling.
  • Data Ecosystems: Proven experience working with cloud data platform stacks (Databricks, Google BigQuery, Azure Synapse ,or Snowflake).
  • Nice to Have: Power BI, Zoho Analytics, Qlik Sense

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with an eye for UI/UX design and data storytelling.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple project timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills to explain technical AI concepts to business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as Tableau Desktop/Server Certified Professional.
  • Experience with cloud-native AI services (Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Cloud AI).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000-$183,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time, as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors, including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at the time of hire and annually at the Company27s discretion.
