Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW

BDC is the only bank devoted exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs. This advisory role helps SMEs adopt, select, implement, and optimize digital technologies, enterprise systems, and operational practices. The position leads consulting engagements focused on digital transformation, ERP/CRM solutions, data, automation, and operational performance improvement. Your work directly supports the growth and success of Canadian businesses.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET
  • Deliver advisory engagements focused on the adoption, selection, implementation, and optimization of digital technologies and enterprise systems.
  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, including scope, objectives, deliverables, budgets, timelines, risks, resources, and quality.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in digital transformation, ERP, CRM, operational systems, data, analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
  • Support clients in evaluating, selecting, implementing, and optimizing ERP, CRM, MES, WMS, BI, and other business applications.
  • Identify high-value opportunities to improve productivity and decision-making through data, automation, analytics, and AI.
  • Analyze and optimize business processes to improve operational performance and scalability.
  • Contribute to client diagnostics, needs assessments, proposal development, and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-deliver engagements and strengthen digital operational excellence capabilities.
  • Support practice visibility through thought leadership, presentations, and advisory content.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Commerce, Information Systems, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in consulting or advisory services.
  • Experience in technology advisory, digital transformation, or enterprise software initiatives.
  • Experience with several of the following technologies:
    • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
    • CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
    • MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
    • WMS (Warehouse Management System)
    • BI (Business Intelligence)
  • Experience in system selection, functional requirements definition, implementation support, and management system optimization.
  • Knowledge of data, analytics, automation, and AI use cases in a business environment.
  • Experience analyzing and optimizing business processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex consulting engagements.
  • Ability to translate technical and operational concepts into clear recommendations for executives and managers.
  • Experience managing scope, budgets, timelines, risks, resources, and deliverables.
  • Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
  • Professional bilingualism in French and English.
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally across Canada.


Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or relevant professional designation.
  • Consulting firm experience.
  • Experience with advanced automation, analytics, or AI-enabled initiatives.
  • Experience working with Canadian SMEs.
