Responsibilities- Design, implement, and enhance secure AWS cloud architectures supporting cloud migration initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with government and industry security frameworks, including NIST SP 800-53.
- Lead research efforts and collaborate across security, engineering, and development teams.
- Recommend improvements to AWS Landing Zone environments and governance models.
- Develop and document cybersecurity guidance for cloud migration and implementation.
- Evaluate, recommend, and integrate cloud security technologies and services.
- Coordinate regularly with stakeholders to review deliverables, timelines, and expectations.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on secure cloud architecture decisions.
QualificationsRequired- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- 4+ years of experience designing and architecting solutions in AWS cloud environments.
- 20+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting large-scale, complex environments.
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (additional experience may substitute).
- One or more AWS certifications, including:
- AWS Certified Developer (Associate or Professional)
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate
- AWS Certified Security - Specialty
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional
- Strong technical leadership, facilitation, and meeting management skills.
Desired- Experience producing security-focused technical documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) requirements.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale AWS environments and Landing Zone Accelerator frameworks.
