Full Job Description
Amazon is seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to join the Treasury Strategy and Markets (TSM) team. The TSM team oversees Amazon's capital structure, including raising capital from lenders and distributing capital to shareholders, as well as managing Amazon's internal and external relationships. The focus of this role is to help with forecasting liquidity, providing senior leadership insights through high caliber reporting, and enabling automation. In addition, this role will help with project-specific support covering financing structures (bonds, commercial paper, loans, etc.), enterprise resource allocation, strategic planning (liquidity, leverage, and optimizing capital structure), and relationship management (rating agencies, banking partners, and cross-functional teams). The role will be relied upon in many facets across the team with ample opportunity for growth and development.

This position requires a self-starter who collaborates well with internal and external stakeholders and can balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should be a good communicator who can support cross-functional collaboration and contribute to team deliverables. This role requires strong organizational skills, including the ability to identify and escalate risks and provide clear updates to senior team members. The ideal candidate should be eager to learn, detail-oriented, and have a foundation in finance through relevant coursework, internships, or early-career experience. This role is well-suited for someone who demonstrates Dive Deep, Bias for Action, and Ownership leadership principles and is looking to grow into increasing levels of responsibility across Treasury.

Key job responsibilities
• Own cross-functional reporting deliverables and provide insights for senior leaders based on data; deliver clear and concise summaries of data analysis.
• Create and automate Excel financial models and new reports for strategic initiatives, supporting liquidity planning, financing, and return of capital analyses.
• Assist with financing initiatives including bond issuance, revolving credit facility, and term loan processes.
• Prepare materials for executive-level reviews of free cash flow, liquidity, funding needs, and rating agency considerations.
• Collaborate across Treasury teams and cross-functionally on reporting deliverables and analyses.
• Support relationships with rating agencies and banking partners by preparing materials, tracking deliverables, and coordinating meetings.
• Produce high-quality reporting and analysis for senior leadership while supporting automation initiatives and process optimization to improve team efficiency.
• Prepare quarterly business review materials summarizing market environment, and trade activity.
• Support AI initiatives and development of AI personas across the Treasury Strategy and Markets team.
• Own financial planning and resource allocation across Treasury, partnering cross functionally to provide leadership with financial insights and strategic guidance on resource allocation decisions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Foundational financial markets or corporate finance knowledge, with eagerness/interest to develop expertise.

- Financial analysis and Excel fluency; ability to build and automate financial models.

- Exposure to or coursework in debt and/or equity capital markets, treasury, or corporate finance.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently on well-defined deliverables while seeking direction as needed.

- Keen attention to detail with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
