  • Own the budgeting and forecasting process for Research and G&A in partnership with department and functional leaders
  • Deliver timely, accurate quarterly reporting and budget-vs-actual analysis for assigned areas with clear variance commentary, and partner with the business monthly to review forecast changes
  • Manage the quarterly accrual close for Research, working with business partners and external vendors to develop and validate accruals in line with SOX controls and GAAP
  • Own revenue recognition for Research collaboration agreements (ASC 606), partnering with Accounting
  • Support the annual financial planning and long-range planning processes
  • Partner across Finance, Accounting, Research, and G&A functions to support decision-making and ad-hoc analysis
  • Build and improve financial models and scenario analyses for Research and G&A, including program-level budget and resource-allocation scenarios
  • Evaluate current processes and systems and drive efficiency improvements, including through automation and AI tooling
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
  • 3+ years of experience in an FP&A or Finance function; biotech/pharma a plus
  • Willingness to learn paired with a genuine appetite to take ownership of their areas
  • Experience with Planful (or a comparable FP&A planning platform) and NetSuite (or a comparable ERP) a plus
  • Interest in improving processes through automation/AI a plus
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical, resilient, and flexible, with a solutions and implementation focus, able to work with minimal supervision in a demanding environment
Education
  • Bachelor's in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
  • CPA or MBA a plus

Fit with Nurix Culture and Values
  • Strong team orientation; highly collaborative
  • Solutions and results-oriented focus
  • Hands-on approach; resourceful and open to diverse points of view
