What's the role?

As Senior Financial Analyst, you won't just report the numbers; you'll shape how leadership reads the business, from sales trends and margin performance to the commercial bets that drive ZEISS's next stage of growth in the U.S. This is a high-visibility seat at the table: your analysis informs decisions made by senior management, and your voice carries into cross-functional conversations across sales, marketing, and commercial strategy.

If you're energized by turning complex data into a clear story, want ownership over the metrics that matter, and are looking for a finance career with a real runway — this is built for you.

Sound Interesting? Here's what you'll do:

  • Sales & Margin Analysis

  • Dig into sales data to uncover trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate gross and profit margins to assess true product and service profitability.
  • Build and maintain forward-looking financial models for sales and margin performance.
  • Commercial Analysis

  • Analyze contracts, pricing strategy, and market conditions to unlock revenue and profitability.
  • Quantify the financial impact of major business moves — new product launches, market expansion, promotions.
  • Partner directly with sales and marketing to shape commercial strategy.
  • Financial Reporting & KPI Monitoring

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Build dashboards that track the KPIs that matter — revenue growth, cost efficiency, ROI.
  • Own the accuracy and integrity of the financial data you put in front of leadership.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting & Process Improvement

  • Drive the annual budget and periodic forecast cycles.
  • Explain budget variances with context leadership can act on.
  • Find smarter ways to work — streamlining processes and modernizing financial reporting tools.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally in a sales-focused, commercial environment.
  • A track record of turning sales, margin, and commercial analysis into findings senior leaders act on.
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion is a plus.
  • A communicator who can translate complex financial detail into a story anyone can follow.
  • A self-starter who thrives on ownership, juggles competing priorities, and sweats the details.
  • CMA, CPA, or similar certification is a plus
