Senior Analyst, Compliance OperationsThis role reports to the Associate Director, Compliance Operations and supports the management and administration of the OMERS policy program. This position is important because it helps ensure policies remain current, fit for purpose, and aligned with organizational objectives and applicable regulatory requirements. In this role, you will coordinate policy reviews, maintain accurate documentation, support compliance monitoring, and work with stakeholders across the organization to improve policy and compliance processes.
You will be responsible for: - Supporting the management and administration of the policy program by coordinating timely reviews and engaging relevant stakeholders to deliver policy documents that are fit for purpose.
- Providing policy subject matter expertise, promoting best practices and consistency with the OMERS policy framework, and responding to policy-related inquiries.
- Managing version control, tracking changes throughout policy reviews, and keeping stakeholders informed of updates to support consistency and transparency across the organization.
- Maintaining and updating policy documents to ensure accuracy and relevance, including coordinating amendments with subject matter experts and supporting timely publication on internal and external websites.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the organization to advance strategic objectives, gather feedback, and resolve issues for internal stakeholders.
- Participating in the monitoring and testing of compliance activities to generate insights and provide meaningful policy guidance.
- Creating and enhancing compliance management process documentation, including compliance procedures and project planning templates.
- Reviewing current practices and identifying design and process improvements to support the implementation of new compliance projects and processes.
- Maintaining current knowledge of organizational processes and relevant regulatory and technology requirements.
- Reviewing emerging industry and regulatory trends and conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis to support policy and process recommendations aligned with OMERS strategy and stakeholder needs.
Required Skills & Experience - University degree or college diploma.
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in compliance or a similar function, including regulatory compliance and policy program management.
- Highly organized, with the ability to create and execute processes relevant to the role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work across multiple levels of the organization.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements to a range of audiences through various channels.
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, set priorities proactively, and identify areas requiring further research.
- Comfortable performing repetitive and administrative tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, with intermediate proficiency in Excel and SharePoint.
Preferred Skills & Experience - Project management experience, including experience using Asana.
- Initiative-taker who is comfortable working both collaboratively and independently.
- Demonstrated ability to plan logically and strategically and monitor progress using effective controls and success criteria.

The expected salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.
