Full Job Description
Senior Analyst, Ballistic Missile Defense Systems to support its Capabilities Directorate Fires Division (CDF) Ballistic Missile Defense team at the Headquarters Department of the Army (HWDA) G-8 Capabilities Directorate at the Pentagon.

Responsibilities:

  • Validate, prioritize, analyze, and assist with ensuring Army force development requirements and modernization plans are achievable for Fires efforts, including:
    • Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense (JTAMD)
    • Directed Energy
    • Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS)
    • Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD)
    • Artillery launchers
    • Missiles
    • Cannons
  • Maintain an active Secret security clearance.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Active Secret security clearance required.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience and expertise in Force Development or related duties.
  • For personnel qualification, the DCS G-8 requires an interdisciplinary skill set that includes Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), DoD acquisition processes and procedures (DoDI 5000.02), and Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) expertise.
  • Force Development experience should demonstrate the application of DOTMLPF-P principles in a fiscally constrained environment to support materiel and force structure requirements development and validation.
  • Experience may be obtained at various Army or Joint organizational levels; however, candidates should have experience supporting Force Development at senior Army echelons such as Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), Major Commands (MACOMs), Army Service Component Commands (ASCCs), or comparable Joint organizations.


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • HQDA staff/Pentagon experience is preferred, as is experience supporting a related Program Executive Office (PEO) or Project Manager (PM) organization, along with prior active-duty experience in Fires.
  • Foundational doctrinal, operational, and technical expertise with Army Air and Missile Defense or Army Fire Support units, programs, CONOPS, and capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, government personnel, and senior Army leadership.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
