Niceville, Florida HX5 is currently seeking a Senior Acquisition Program Engineer to join our team at Eglin AFB in Niceville, Florida.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering support to the
SDBII program.Apply advanced engineering principles to ensure technical efforts align with program objectives, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
Assist with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical recommendations supporting system and equipment performance.
Support planning and execution of complex engineering tasks involving:
Statics, Dynamics, Tribology
Mechanical wear, Fatigue, Corrosion
Fluid dynamics, Thermodynamics
Assist in the generation and interpretation of technical data packages, including 2D drawings and 3D models.
Support testing, evaluation, life prediction, and standardization of materials and material properties used in engineering design.
Provide technical inputs to briefings, technical reviews, and program documentation in support of Government decision-making.
Collaborate within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support mission execution and program success.
Education and Experience:- Undergraduate engineering degree from ABET-accredited college.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and ten (10) years of professional experience
- Or Master's of Science degree in Engineering and eight (8) years of professional experience
- OR Ph.D. and three (3) years of professional experience
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:- This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:- Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance by date of hire.
