DescriptionMarkon is building a talent pool of SCIF Inspector II (Journey-Level Inspector) professionals to support future Intelligence Community facility and secure construction missions. This pipeline opportunity is intended to identify experienced professionals to independently conduct inspections of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and ensure compliance with ICD 705, ICS 705-1, and applicable security requirements. Selected candidates will be considered for future openings requiring hands-on inspection expertise, technical documentation, and coordination of secure facility compliance activities.
Responsibilities
- Independently conduct routine SCIF inspections and assessments in accordance with ICD 705, ICS 705-1, and applicable technical standards.
- Perform inspections across multiple disciplines, including physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security.
- Operate applicable inspection and test equipment to evaluate facility compliance and document findings.
- Prepare clear, accurate, and comprehensive inspection reports, findings, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with Facility Security Officers (FSOs), customers, engineers, construction teams, security professionals, and other stakeholders throughout the inspection process.
- Identify compliance deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and track remediation efforts through resolution.
- Support multiple inspection activities and priorities within a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Favorably adjudicated CI polygraph or willingness to obtain
- Associate’s degree in a relevant technical field; 6 years of directly relevant experience may substitute for a degree
- 4+ years of SCIF inspection experience under ICD 705 and ICS 705-1
- Proficiency in at least three of the following inspection disciplines: physical security, access control, RF/TEMPEST, acoustics, and information systems security
- ICD 705 Inspector Training
- CDSE CD116 (TEMPEST Fundamentals) or awareness-level TEMPEST training
- Experience operating inspection and test equipment and documenting technical findings
- Strong technical writing, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder communication skills
Desired:
- Experience independently conducting SCIF inspections from initial assessment through final reporting
- Experience coordinating inspection activities with Facility Security Officers (FSOs) and multidisciplinary project teams
- Experience tracking deficiencies and remediation activities through resolution
- Broader experience across multiple SCIF inspection disciplines
Salary RangeUSD $120,000.00 - USD $165,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
