Job Description:
Subscription/SW: SAP Subscription Management - SOM (BRIM) Solution Architect
Job Description
HPE’s acquisition of Juniper Networks is one of the most significant moves in the company’s history, bringing two networking leaders together to build HPE Networking, with the ambition of creating the best networking business on the planet. This role sits at the center of that effort as part of the Lead-to-Cash (L2C) program, responsible for unifying quoting, ordering, and fulfillment across the combined HPE and Juniper networking portfolios onto a single platform, replacing fragmented legacy systems with one seamless, scalable experience for sellers, partners, and customers worldwide.
As part of a fast-moving, multi-year transformation, the team will stabilize near-term operations, migrate core platforms, onboard businesses and suppliers globally, and build new capabilities from the ground up. The choices made here will shape how the combined networking business operates for years to come. You will work closely with business leaders, IT architects, suppliers, and partner stakeholders on a program with direct executive visibility, solving integration challenges at a scale few companies ever attempt.
For the right person, this is a rare opportunity to help build a new business unit from its earliest days, rather than inherit someone else’s systems. You will gain hands-on exposure to enterprise-scale platform integration and cross-functional program leadership, with the kind of complexity and pace that can accelerate your career. If you want your work to have a visible impact on a company making a significant investment in its future, this is where that happens.
Workstream-Specific Details
Own the end-to-end solution architecture for SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) within SAP BRIM, covering subscription order capture, provisioning, and lifecycle change processes across the combined HPE and Juniper networking portfolios.
Define the target-state design for subscription and consumption-based offers, including product and rate-plan modelling, technical and master agreements, and one-off, recurring, and usage-based charging.
Architect integrations across the Lead-to-Cash landscape — CPQ and quoting, SAP SOM, Convergent Charging and Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, revenue accounting, and downstream fulfillment and entitlement systems.
Translate business requirements into architecture artifacts: solution blueprints, process and data flows, interface specifications, and design decision records.
Guide onshore and offshore development teams through build, unit test, and defect resolution, ensuring delivery matches the approved design.
Support test strategy, cutover planning, and HyperCare, including root-cause analysis of production issues in the subscription order flow.
Education And Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree an asset.
Demonstrated experience architecting subscription or consumption-based commercial models in a high-tech, networking, software, or telecommunications environment.
Deep functional and technical knowledge of SAP SOM: subscription contracts, provisioning, technical and master agreements, change processes, and pricing and charging configuration.
Working knowledge of the wider BRIM suite — Convergent Charging, Convergent Invoicing, FI-CA, and revenue accounting and reporting (RAR) and of S/4HANA Sales and order management.
Strong grasp of integration patterns and tooling: SAP BTP / Integration Suite (CPI), APIs, OData, IDoc, and event-driven interfaces to CPQ, CRM, and fulfillment systems.
Ability to model complex product catalogues, rate plans, and entitlements, and to reason about their downstream billing and revenue impact.
Collaborative working style across business, IT, supplier, and partner stakeholders in multiple time zones.
