The workThe SAP Price and Promotion Planning Consultant will play a central role in helping retail clients design, optimize, and manage pricing strategies and promotional programs. This position involves analyzing retail market conditions, partnering with cross-functional teams, and leveraging SAP solutions to create effective and scalable pricing and promotion processes.
The consultant will translate business requirements into practical configuration and deployment plans, ensuring that all pricing and promotional initiatives support organizational goals and deliver measurable benefits. This role also requires identifying process improvement opportunities, applying best practices, and supporting clients through complex retail transformation activities.
You will work extensively with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Merchandising, and SAP Retail to configure, test, and deploy pricing and promotion capabilities. Experience with integrated planning systems, analytics platforms, and workflow tools will support effective delivery across dynamic retail environments. Familiarity with large-scale implementations, stakeholder management, and change management practices will help ensure alignment and successful adoption of new capabilities.
Key responsibilities:- Collaborate with clients to design and implement price and promotion planning strategies using SAP S/4HANA
- Configure and optimize SAP Merchandising and SAP Retail modules to support pricing and promotional operations
- Analyze current retail pricing and promotional processes to identify gaps and recommend improvements
- Provide expert guidance regarding SAP S/4HANA features related to pricing, promotions, and retail execution
- Work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of pricing and promotional solutions
- Support end-users with training, troubleshooting, and enhancement of pricing and promotion capabilities
- Participate in blueprinting, configuration, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment activities across project phases
- Ensure compliance with all US citizenship requirements throughout engagements
Here's what you need:- 4+ years of functional SAP experience
- Hands-on experience with S/4HANA retail pricing and promotions (PMR, OPP, and Condition Contract Pricing highly preferred)
- Strong understanding of price calculation, margin logic, and promotional price planning
- Experience with condition techniques and POS outbound pricing
- Proficiency in SAP functional configuration and customizing
- Experience with business-process design, Fit-to-Standard workshops, and authoring requirements/functional specs
- Strong support experience for SIT/UAT test cycles

- Ability to obtain a client Public Trust government clearance
