Job Summary
The SAP ABAP Developer will design, develop, test, and deploy SAP solutions, including enhancements, customizations, and integrations using SAP BTP, ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and other SAP technologies such as CAP and HANA Cloud. The role involves participating in the full SAP project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis through implementation, go-live, and post-implementation support. The developer will collaborate with functional teams, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions while following Clean Core principles and cloud development practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in the design, development, testing, and deployment of SAP solutions, including enhancements, customizations, and integrations.
• Develop SAP applications and extensions using SAP BTP, ABAP, SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, CAP, HANA Cloud, and related technologies.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP projects, including requirements gathering, analysis, development, implementation, go-live, and post-implementation support.
• Collaborate with functional teams, project managers, consultants, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Follow Clean Core principles and implement cloud-based application extensions using SAP Cloud Platform tools and technologies.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
• Support SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments, including S/4HANA upgrades and ECC-to-S/4HANA migrations with code remediation.
• Develop and maintain SAP integrations using IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, and REST.
• Work across functional areas, including finance, accounting, purchasing, vehicle sales, and ordering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional development teams and consultants across different project workstreams.
Required Qualifications
• 5-7 years of hands-on SAP development experience.
• Strong proficiency in SAP ABAP programming, including RESTful programming, Core Data Services (CDS), and modern extensibility.
• Strong experience with SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, and OData services.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications on the SAP BTP platform.
• Knowledge of SAP modules such as SAP SD, MM, FI/CO, or other SAP functional areas.
• Knowledge of SAP BTP tools and services, including SAP Build Work Zone, Business Application Studio, and Git.
• Experience with SAP HANA and S/4HANA environments.
• Experience with S/4HANA upgrades and ECC-to-S/4HANA upgrades, including code remediation.
• Familiarity with SAP Cloud Platform, RISE, and SAP integration technologies such as IDocs, RFC, BAPI, SOAP, and REST.
• Strong understanding of SAP development practices and Clean Core principles.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Good communication skills and ability to prepare technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
• SAP technology certifications.
• Experience with SAP CAP and HANA Cloud.
Additional Details
• Team Environment: Collaborate with a team of approximately 25-30 members across finance, GBC, and other development workstreams.
• Work Arrangement: Primarily independent development work with periodic team meetings and consultant touchpoints.
