Location: Twinsburg, OH preferred. This is a primarily remote position with on-site attendance as needed. Fully remote candidates may also be considered based on their qualifications, with occasional travel to Twinsburg.

Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 base compensation. This range represents a good faith estimate of the expected base salary for this position. Final base salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidates education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and alignment with market data.

Job Summary

Great Day Improvements is seeking an experienced, hands-on Salesforce Architect to own our Salesforce ecosystem from end to end, including its integration with enterprise systems.

In this role, you will define Salesforce architecture, establish scalable platform standards, and partner with our Integration Architect to design how Salesforce connects across the enterprise. Youll work closely with business leaders, engineering teams, and external partners to translate business priorities into secure, maintainable solutions and drive successful delivery.

Beyond technical design, you will play a critical role in improving platform health, strengthening governance, reducing technical complexity, and ensuring Salesforce can continue to scale as our business grows.

• Own Salesforce architecture and technical delivery. Lead end-to-end platform architecture across the customer lifecycle, including configuration, automation, custom development, and connectivity with enterprise systems. Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex Salesforce and cross-system challenges.
• Drive architectural decisions and business transformation. Translate business objectives into executable solution designs; lead technical design sessions; and define functional and non-functional requirements covering performance, scalability, security, monitoring, supportability, and operational readiness. Resolve ambiguity, evaluate technical tradeoffs, remove delivery roadblocks, and align solutions with business strategy and enterprise standards.
• Establish platform standards and governance. Define and enforce standards for configuration, metadata, naming conventions, automation, code quality, environments, and release management. Develop reusable reference architectures, solution patterns, system diagrams, data model documentation, architecture decision records, and design guidelines. Lead solution reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards, reduce rework, and improve delivery consistency.
• Own Salesforce data architecture. Establish scalable data models, object relationships, field strategies, validation rules, and data integrity controls. Define lifecycle management and extensibility standards that support reliable reporting, analytics readiness, and consistent business operations.
• Lead Salesforce integration architecture. Partner with the Integration Architect on enterprise integration strategy, including systems of record, data ownership, API and event contracts, data flows, and integration patterns. Own Salesforce-specific design decisions involving platform events, change data capture, real-time versus bulk processing, and governor limits. Establish monitoring, error-handling, and recovery requirements while minimizing duplicated logic across systems.
• Establish security and risk controls. Own Salesforce security architecture, including sharing models, roles, permission sets, and data visibility. Partner with enterprise security teams to meet compliance and audit expectations, proactively identify architectural risks, and implement solutions that prevent production instability and unnecessary rework.
• Ensure reliable delivery and platform operations. Provide technical direction throughout planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-launch support. Maintain strong operational discipline across Agile delivery, quality assurance, release governance, and production readiness to improve deployment success, platform stability, and long-term maintainability.
• Lead vendors and implementation partners. Provide technical guidance and oversight to consulting partners and external delivery teams. Review solution designs and completed work for quality, scalability, maintainability, and compliance with standards. Identify risks early, resolve delivery gaps, and hold partners accountable for predictable outcomes.
• Collaborate across the enterprise and advance platform maturity. Work directly with business leaders, internal engineering teams, security stakeholders, and external vendors to define success criteria, communicate technical decisions clearly, and ensure solutions are fully supportable after launch. Promote reusable architecture and stay current with emerging Salesforce capabilities, recommending improvements aligned with business value.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
• Salesforce certifications: Platform Developer, Integration Architect, Identity & Access Management Architect, and Sharing & Visibility Architect required. Application Architect and System Architect as credentials that candidates should also have obtained or be pursuing.
• Minimum experience: At least 10 years of overall IT experience, including:

  • 6+ years designing and delivering distributed systems, enterprise integrations, or middle-tier solutions.

  • 5+ years of Salesforce platform experience covering configuration, data modeling, automation, security, and delivery leadership.

  • 4+ years in Solution Architecture, Salesforce Architecture, or a comparable technical leadership role.

  • Enterprise Salesforce architecture: Proven experience leading architecture across multiple initiatives and delivering Salesforce at scale, including multi-org environments, org consolidation, or segmentation strategies supported by strong platform governance.
• End-to-end implementation and ongoing ownership: Experience leading at least one complete Salesforce implementation involving enterprise integrations, as well as supporting a production Salesforce environment through ongoing maintenance, change requests, optimization, and new feature delivery.
• Salesforce technical expertise: Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture, configuration standards, data modeling, validation and lifecycle governance, Flow and automation patterns, security and access model design, and custom development concepts, including Apex, APIs, and asynchronous processing where applicable.
• Enterprise integration experience: Demonstrated experience designing Salesforce integrations with enterprise applications using APIs and middleware/iPaaS patterns, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex cross-system technical issues.
• Architectural leadership and communication: Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, explain architectural decisions and tradeoffs to technical and nontechnical stakeholders, and produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and design artifacts.
• Delivery and release management: Experience working in Agile environments with disciplined release governance and operational readiness practices. Familiarity with GitHub, Jira, common testing methodologies, and quality assurance practices that support stable production releases.
• Security and compliance: Experience in regulated or control-driven environments, such as ITGC, PCI, HIPAA, or similar, with an understanding of change control, traceability, and audit requirements.

• Experience architecting CRM platforms in high-growth, multi-business-unit environments with competing priorities and shared governance.
• Experience establishing and enforcing DevOps processes and release management standards.
• Background in enterprise data governance, object strategy, data lifecycle management, reporting readiness, and analytics enablement.
• Experience directing consulting partners or external vendors and ensuring accountability for quality, delivery, and results.
• Experience with performance and scalability tuning, production monitoring, and practices that improve platform stability.
