Full Job Description
Kawasaki Motors Retail Finance (KMRF) is seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Sales Training & Development Specialist to design, build, and deliver sales-related training across the organization. This role serves as the primary hands-on training resource for employee development, ensuring new Financial Products Sales Managers (FPSMs) are fully prepared to launch successfully through Kawasaki's captive branded sales certification platform. The Specialist supports and drives sales new-hire onboarding, partnering with Sales leadership to ramp new team members quickly and consistently. The role also owns delivery of KRS system training for newly onboarded dealerships, ensuring consistent adoption and system proficiency through formal training touchpoints conducted at least once per quarter. The position is highly platform- and technology-driven, relying on learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and content development software to create engaging, scalable training. The role works cross-functionally with Sales, Credit, Funding, and OEM Field Sales, and reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Sales Strategy and Analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain Kawasaki's captive branded sales certification platform and FPSM onboarding curriculum.
  • Support and drive sales new-hire onboarding, partnering with Sales leadership to prepare and ramp new team members through structured onboarding and certification.
  • Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions for internal teams and dealership partners across all captive finance needs.
  • Own KRS system training for newly onboarded dealerships, driving consistent adoption and proficiency through recurring quarterly touchpoints.
  • Develop standardized training materials, including presentations, job aids, user guides, videos, e-learning modules, and reference documentation.
  • Administer and optimize the learning management system (LMS) and related training platforms, including course build-out, content updates, and completion tracking.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing training programs that support change management, including new program launches, policy updates, system enhancements, and process changes.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and support resource for sales-related training questions from internal teams and dealership partners.
  • Reinforce best practices across the dealer network through refreshers, follow-ups, and targeted coaching.
  • Review training data and completion metrics to assess training effectiveness and recommend enhancements to content and delivery.
  • Partner with the Dealer Onboarding & Sales Support Coordinator on session scheduling, enrollment, logistics, and training communications.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to originations, dealer experience, and operational readiness.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience delivering training, facilitation, or instruction; experience in retail lending, originations, or financial services training preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence with technology and software platforms, including hands-on experience administering or building content in learning management systems (LMS), virtual training tools, and content development software.
  • Proven group presentation and facilitation experience, with the ability to command a room and engage audiences of varying sizes and experience levels; prior classroom, workshop, or large-group training experience required.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new dealer-facing and internal technology tools quickly.
  • Proven ability to translate complex financial and operational concepts into clear, practical training for diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support dealer and sales training initiatives.


Profile Differentiators:

  • Experience in the powersports finance industry (motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, PWCs), automotive finance, or consumer finance.
  • Experience training on loan origination systems (LOS), partner platforms, or dealer-facing technology tools.
  • Experience building e-learning content, video training, or certification programs.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup or FinTech environment.


Salary:

  • Salary range:
    • $90,000-$95,000
