Sales Executive - EV Charging Infrastructure

Position Summary

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth for the company's EV charging infrastructure installation services. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining customer relationships, and leading the sales process from initial opportunity through contract award.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the EV charging industry, a proven track record of achieving sales targets, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, partners, estimating, project management, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, develop, and cultivate relationships with key customers, partners, general contractors, and other stakeholders in the EV charging industry.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned revenue and gross profit targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, industry relationships, customer referrals, and competitive analysis.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact and opportunity development through proposal, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of EV charging technologies, installation requirements, project delivery, and industry trends.
  • Stay current on government policies, funding programs, regulatory requirements, and market developments that may impact EV charging infrastructure opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitive positioning, and pricing trends.
  • Work closely with estimating and operations teams to develop competitive, accurate, and profitable proposals.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics, and regularly report progress to management.
  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline using the company's CRM and sales tools.
  • Participate in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to build relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Visit customer locations and project sites as needed to support business development and sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to project execution.
  • Represent the company professionally and maintain a high level of customer service throughout the sales process.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the EV charging industry or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully achieving sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of EV charging infrastructure, including charging technologies, installation requirements, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations.
  • Experience selling construction, electrical, or infrastructure services is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical and commercial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools used to manage and track sales activities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and visit project sites.
