Automotive Sales Manager - Harbor Chevrolet (Long Beach, CA)

Location: Long Beach, California
Schedule: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance bonuses + benefits
Reports to: General Manager
Position Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the sales team, managing daily operations, and achieving volume, gross, and CSI objectives. This role requires a proven automotive leader with strong California retail experience and the ability to drive consistent, process-focused execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team
  • Manage daily sales operations, sales processes, T/O protocol, and deal flow
  • Partner with the finance team to ensure clean CIT, accurate paperwork, and compliant deal structure
  • Monitor and drive essential KPIs: closing ratio, PVR, VGP, turn rate, trade win %, OEM sales objectives, and CSI
  • Maintain inventory standards: aging, mix, merchandising, and dealership presentation
  • Enforce proper CRM usage (VinSolutions) and ensure follow-up and accountability
  • Conduct daily one-on-ones, structured training sessions, and weekly team meetings
  • Ensure full compliance with California DMV, FTC, and dealer regulatory requirements
  • Support recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and continuous training of sales personnel
  • Collaborate with marketing and digital teams to optimize lead performance and conversion
