Job PurposeRebel Systems LLC is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our team in St. Petersburg, FL. In this role, you will be the primary technical and sales resource for our Hybrid Power product line, with power ranges from 2kW to 60kW. Our primary customer base is the U.S. military, and our cutting-edge hybrid systems are designed to integrate seamlessly with an array of generators, as well as tactical and non-tactical vehicles. You will bridge the gap between Rebel Systems LLC's engineering teams and our defense clients, ensuring that we provide optimal, mission-ready power solutions to meet their specific field requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for hybrid power solutions, primarily within the U.S. defense and military sectors.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on our hybrid power systems. Understand complex power requirements and demonstrate how Rebel products successfully integrate with generators and military vehicles and renewable power solutions
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations, product demonstrations, and engineering proposals to prospective military clients and defense contractors.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by providing ongoing technical guidance and post-sales support.
- Work closely with product management and engineering teams to communicate customer feedback, mission-critical requirements, and specific product improvements.
Qualifications- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specific focus on Power desired.
- 5+ years of proven experience working directly in power systems.
- Deep understanding of hybrid power systems, power conversion (Both AC and DC, 100W to 60kW), batteries, and system integration with generators, tactical vehicles, and non-tactical vehicles.
- Background & Security Clearance: Because our primary customer base is the U.S. military, the successful candidate must be able to securely access military installations. Candidates must be able to pass a strict background check. While an active security clearance is not required, a minimum of a DoD Secret clearance is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to client sites, military bases, trade shows, and field testing locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both engineering personnel and military procurement officers.
