Why RTs stay- Real respiratory work. Vent management, trach changes, weaning and decannulation goals, not nebs and O2 rounds.
- Same kids, real progress. Be there for the weaning trial that works and the day a family takes their child home.
- Your voice counts. Physicians and nursing lean on your judgment. You're the airway expert in the building.
- Complex care, steadier pace. Pediatric critical-care skills without ER chaos or floating across a hospital, and without driving into the city.
- Career-defining experience. Pediatric vent and trach expertise is rare. Few RTs have it, and it opens doors.
