What We Are Looking For

Kinder Morgan CO2 Company is currently seeking a Rotating Equipment Supervisor for the SACROC CO2 Gas Processing Facilities in Snyder, TX. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all aspects of the plant with emphasis on the rotating equipment systems. The SACROC Gas Processing facilities employ a multitude of processes which include over 300,000 hp of compression, gas dehydration facilities, NGL Recovery facilities, and CO2 membranes. The SACROC Gas Processing Facility is a PSM Facility. Secondary responsibilities include occasionally assisting with rotating equipment at the Snyder Gas Plant and SACROC Power Plant.

The Rotating Equipment Supervisor will be responsible for oversight of all rotating equipment within the plant. This includes the direct supervision of company mechanics, roustabouts, and various contractors.

What You Will Do

DUTIES INCLUDE:
  • Drive improvements in Process Safety Management program, Preventative Maintenance program, development of employees, efficient operations, and equipment reliability.
  • Provides technical leadership to the Rotating Equipment group.
  • Prepares reliability plans for critical rotating equipment systems.
  • Responsible for Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance. and Critical repair activities.
  • Provide support to operations to ensure plant downtime is minimized.
  • Recognize and promote ideas that provide safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations, making sure that operating costs are consistent with budgetary constraints.
  • Support and work with outside groups such as process engineering, project engineering, and the Engineering Services team on safety, optimization, and expansion initiatives.
  • Assist in preparation of annual operating budgets, monitor budgetary performance throughout the year, and reporting budgetary performance to Operations Manager.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Tasks are performed indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions in daylight & darkness.
  • May be required to stand, walk, sit, ascend/descend stairs or ladders, use hand tools, reach with hands and arms.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Plant vessels and piping systems contain H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances
  • Requires working on holidays when a holiday falls on a scheduled on-call weekend
  • Must participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and be on site within 45 minutes of call outs.

What You Need

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record acceptable to KM's insurer.
  • Must be able to work with a team, take directions from manager, keep required work schedules, focus on attention to detail, and follow work rules.
  • Manage budgeting, cost tracking, and expenditure reporting for the Rotating team.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • Strong knowledge and experience with reciprocating compressor systems.
  • Knowledge of equipment monitoring systems such as SCADA and IFix
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong analytical skills


EDUCATION REQUIRED:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Prior supervisory experience
  • Experience with refrigeration systems
  • Experience with pumps, exchangers, vessels and other plant equipment
  • Experience with budgeting, cost tracking and reporting
  • Experience with Maximo or other Computerized Maintenance Management Software
  • Experience and knowledge with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements


PREFERRED EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable Engineering or Technology discipline
