Full Job Description
SCU RN - Will train the right candidate who has at least 1 year of current M/S, Tele, Stepdown or PCU hospital nursing experience.

Howard County General Hospital is now " Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center " and cares for a range of patients with severe health conditions. Our hospital's highly specialized Intensive Care Unit (ICU) dedicated to adult patients requiring intensive monitoring and care, including after surgery or due to medical conditions, including cardiac care, works closely with the Special Care Unit (SCU).

As a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), you will be privileged to care for critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical problems.

Darlene Norton serves as the Nurse Manager, with a demonstrated track record of effective leadership. Darlene began her career at Johns Hopkins Hospital as a PCT prior to completing nursing school and then working as a nurse in the CCU. In a short span, she showcased her capabilities, earning promotions to Lead Clinical RN and Assistant Nurse Manager in 2019. Her journey continued when she later transferred to HCMC.

Darlene is not only a proficient leader but also a mentor who actively supports the professional growth of RNs. She oversees three vital units: The Intensive Care Unit, the Special Care Unit (IMCU) and Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Nursing. Requirements:

Salary Range: Minimum 37.13/hour - Maximum 57.87/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
