Toyon Research Corporation is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) and Radar Systems Engineer with practical

experience in both the design and test of RF and Radar Systems, including EW techniques and counter

measures. An experienced RF/Radar systems engineer will have opportunities to support multiple projects

across Toyon's Antenna/RF, RF Products, Advanced Algorithms, Autonomous Systems, and Aerospace

System product area teams. Join a dynamic team of creative engineers working on state-of-the-art

problems and products for radar, navigation, communications, electronic warfare, and embedded sensors.

Responsibilities
• Design, analyze, and test advanced RF and radar systems for EW, communications, and sensing applications
• Develop algorithms and techniques for ES/EA/EP, direction-finding, waveform design, and adaptive processing
• Support multidisciplinary teams across multiple product areas with system modeling, sensor fusion, and performance assessment
• Drive innovative problem-solving, produce clear technical documentation, and contribute to next-generation RF and radar capabilities

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following capabilities and experience, or a large subset thereof:
• An advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline with at least a:

o Ph.D. specializing in RF sensor systems; or

o A master's or bachelor's degree with 5 or more years of radar/EW systems experience
• Experience with various elements of electronic support (ES), electronic attack (EA), and electronic protection (EP) systems
• Fundamental knowledge of estimation, sensor fusion processes and the design of such systems;
• Domain expertise in analysis and application of advanced RF system features, such as:

o Direction-finding (DF), subspace processing, and waveform design

o Space-Time Adaptive Processing (STAP) / Space-Frequency Adaptive Processing (SFAP)

o Monostatic, Bistatic and Multistatic Radar Systems

o Low-Observable (LO) systems and Radar Cross Section (RCS) design
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Ability to independently think outside the box
• Ability to work in a team environment involving experts in diverse disciplines.

Creativity, strength in problem solving and ability to develop and analyze complex systems are must-have

talents for this position.

The annual pay range for the RF Systems Engineer is $130,000 to $200,000.

The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate's education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
