Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical

Deaconess Illinois Union County |Nights
Compensation: $31.25 - $46.88/hour

What You'll Do

As a Medical/Surgical RN, you will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population while serving as an essential member of the healthcare team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Deliver safe, high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status
  • Coordinate and direct nursing care based on established clinical practices and standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
  • Advocate for patients while promoting safety, quality, and compassionate care
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Coordinate care, communicate results, and support patients and families throughout their healthcare journey
