Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: Promotes the achievement of Health Services goals in assigned region by ensuring consistent implementation of practice and regulatory management strategies. Scope of responsibilities includes the entire continuum of care at each assigned community.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates regional efforts with facility teams.
  • Evaluates and monitors assigned facility implementations of practice and regulatory, HIM/Clinical Reimbursement, nursing operations and quality systems as appropriate.
  • Develops plans and monitors along with the Vice President of Clinical and Ancillary Services, methods to assess the effectiveness and satisfaction with health services support.
  • Participates in the standardization of clinical practice systems, guidelines and policies.
  • Evaluates and identifies resident care and regulatory compliance issues in assigned region.
  • Coordinates follow-up assistance to assigned facilities as needed regarding identified issues and assists in the implementation of necessary improvements.
  • Schedules assigned region facility visits with facility team and enters/exits with leadership for each visit.
  • Engages facility clinical leadership in professional development to promote quality performance.
  • Monitors regionally assigned facility performance on benchmarking measures and intervenes as needed.
  • Coordinates, and provides collaborative oversight of the Peer review process:

    • Coordinating preparation of materials needed for peer review site visit
    • Assigning roles of each team member
    • Leading the peer review team during visit
    • Assists with follow through on improvement plans and performance evaluation of facility teams.

  • Maintains a high level of knowledge in specialty area by reviewing literature, attending meetings and discussing strategy.
  • Uses this knowledge to formulate a strategic direction for Health Services in specialty area.
  • Collaborates with RVPOs to promote optimal performance in area across all assigned facilities.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the Health Services operations plan.
  • Monitors performance metrics across assigned facilities.
  • Works collaboratively with Health Services Team to ensure sustainable success.

EDUCATION:

  • RN with BSN, Current license in the state of Florida.


EXPERIENCE, BASIC KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • 4+ years related experience and/or training, experience in Long Term Care.
  • Proficiency in computer use.
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance and be self-directed toward goals and objectives.
  • Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Excellent organizational, statistical, analytical and communication skills.
  • Maintain current knowledge on assigned specialty (Health Services) and elder health.
