Southeastern RTL Office Locations: Tampa, Miami, Maitland, Atlanta, Boca Raton or Chattanooga

As a Regional Team Leader, you will play a key role in advancing CDM Smith's mission by:
  • Supporting your employees' career journey.
  • Communicating, integrating, connecting, and engaging with your team members.
  • Actively participating in your team members' career paths, including identifying and completing appropriate training, achieving professional registration/certification, and assigning challenging projects.
  • Selecting a suitable mentor for your employees as part of the Career Compass Program.
  • Celebrating team members at important milestones (i.e., work anniversaries, promotions, professional registration, etc.).
  • Conducting timely and authentic annual performance appraisals, coordinating with technical mentors, project managers, TDMs, and others.
  • Leveraging and applying intellectual property, especially as it relates to Community of Practice participation.
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees (as approved with the TDM) to support project workload and overall firm growth.
  • Delivering a legendary client experience with attention to quality.
  • Instilling a sense of personal ownership for work product quality in each member of your team.
  • Coordinating workload within your Technical Services group and utilization goals for the individuals on your team. - Coordinating with your TDM for appropriate technical staff assignments.
  • Manage the team's financial performance including utilization, direct labor, and profitability.
  • Delivering appropriate sales support, as coordinated with the TDM.
  • Approving time sheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring your team members complete all required training (Compliance, Health & Safety, Ethics, etc.) on time.
  • Ensuring your team members are compliant with QA/QC and Health & Safety procedures for project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline. Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 12 years of related experience.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrate a strong technical understanding of electrical engineering.
  • Experience leading teams developing engineering designs of moderate to high complexity to meet client project requirements.
  • Experience with electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, sustainability/renewable energy systems, and other similar electrical systems.

USD $134,264.00
Pay Range Max

USD $248,394.00
Additional Pay Range Information

CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation

All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
