Full Job Description
Job Summary:

This role supports the day-to-day healthcare operations of 4 different communities located in DC, MD, VA and FL to ensure resident's healthcare needs are met. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensures quality care as resident's healthcare needs change. Supports Wellness Directors, Licensed Nurses and other direct care staff within the community.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensuring quality resident care is consistently delivered
  • Supporting the development, implementation and evaluation of clinical goals and objectives
  • Supporting the team by developing clear role expectations for all clinical leaders
  • Serving as a resource on clinical issues, current trends in healthcare, and state, federal regulations
  • Serves on the Wellness Leadership Team, actively participating in the leadership of the departmental strategy and planning
  • Provides leadership and fiscal direction of clinical operations
  • Identifying staff education opportunities and partnering with team members to develop and deliver training
  • Participating in special projects and other duties as assigned
  • Serves as a clinical leader for the organization.
  • Coordinates regional efforts with community teams
  • Evaluates and monitors assigned community implementations of practice and regulatory, nursing operations, clinical metrics, and quality systems as appropriate.
  • Develops, plans, and monitors along with the Regional Director of Operations methods to assess effectiveness and satisfaction with clinical services support.
  • Participates in the standardization of clinical guidelines and policies.
  • Ensures protocols are followed for residence admittance, provides guidance on high acuity residents.
  • Serves with ED as the final clinical decision maker on resident appropriateness for community.
  • Monitors and tracks regional clinical denials, clinical resident move-outs, and residents at risk.
  • Serves as the interim community Wellness Director during times of vacancy.
  • Evaluates and identifies resident care and regulatory compliance issues in assigned region.
  • Coordinates follow-up assistance to assigned communities as needed regarding identified issues and assists in the implementation of necessary improvements.
  • Schedules assigned region community visits with local team and enters/exit with leadership for each visit.
  • Engages clinical leadership in professional development to promote quality performance.
  • Monitors regionally assigned community performance on benchmarking measures and interventions as needed.
  • Coordinates, and provides collaborative oversight of bi-annual community quality surveys, review, assisting, and monitoring on-site meetings.
  • Collaborates with region to ensure optimal clinical performance across all assigned communities through appropriate communications of assessments.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of the Clinical Services operations plan with onsite community leadership team.
  • Assist with Training and Orientation of Nurses and Wellness Directors
  • On call for risk questions and concerns.
  • Assists with responding to family grievances or concerns

Education and Experience:

Education is required to hold state nursing license (RN) and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Delegating Nurse. Basic typing skills along with a working knowledge of personal computing and word processing software are required, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment.

Certifications, Licenses, and other Special Requirements: RN license.
