Salary Details

The salary range for this position is CAD $38.90/Hr. - CAD $55.92/Hr.

Job Summary

As a Recruitment Marketing Specialist with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:

  • Work alongside the Leader, Recruitment Marketing and cross-functional teams across VCH (including Talent Acquisition and Brand and Digital Communications) to advise on and deliver marketing and media campaigns that support recruitment objectives across owned, paid, and partner channels.
  • Take a proactive, research-driven approach to recruitment marketing by identifying emerging trends and opportunities, and developing, evaluating, and recommending annual and ad hoc strategies that support talent attraction goals and enhance VCH's reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Build strong partnerships across VCH, including Communications, Equity and Partnerships, to align objectives, ensure a consistent and integrated candidate and brand experience, and maximize the impact of recruitment marketing initiatives.
  • Create clear, concise marketing, creative and web briefs, and develop strategic presentations for stakeholders that communicate insights, recommendations and drive alignment.
  • Develop, recommend, and execute media plans across paid channels, including strategy development, media buying, placement, performance optimization and tracking, and budget management.
  • Work with the creative team or on Canva to develop marketing material and collateral to improve the VCH employment brand (e.g. advertising, recruitment brochures etc.).
  • Support the administration and development of career-focused content across VCH's social media channels, networking sites, websites, and email marketing programs, leveraging emerging digital trends and technologies to maintain VCH's online presence and competitive edge.
  • Partner on the creative development and coordination of photo and video productions for recruitment marketing shoots.
  • Develop and coordinate recruitment marketing copy for owned channels and paid media, ensuring brand consistency and channel-appropriate messaging.
  • Analyze marketing, advertising, and communications performance to evaluate effectiveness, identify opportunities, and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Oversee and manage marketing budgets, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and budget reporting.
  • Provide marketing and coordination support for recruitment events, including promotional strategies, collateral development, and event logistics coordination to drive attendance and engagement.
  • Develop and execute strategies and campaigns to support VCH's retention efforts for existing staff and medical staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Project Management or related field, and five (5) to seven (7) years' recent, related experience with marketing, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge & Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with diverse stakeholders, build strong relationships, and confidently provide strategic marketing and communications guidance.
  • Strong project manager, with the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work and balance multiple activities concurrently, and in a manner that optimizes departmental effectiveness and contributes to organizational success.
  • Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution, inform decision-making, and maximize marketing impact.
  • Proven expertise in traditional and digital media, including paid media, web, social media, and content marketing, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically.
  • Demonstrates creativity, resourcefulness, and a strong candidate-centric mindset.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience developing, managing, and reporting on marketing budgets.
  • Exercises considerable judgment, tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing and handling information of a confidential and/or sensitive nature.
  • Competency in a variety of tools such as Canva, Microsoft Teams, Drupal, SharePoint, and email marketing.
  • Ability to utilize a variety of relevant software applications at an advanced level including current word processing, spreadsheets, databases and recruitment software
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
