RA+ is an AI-native Energy and Sustainability platform with multiple domain-specific products built on top of it. The platform's AI capabilities are advancing quickly, and we want our products to take full advantage of them. The opportunity in front of us is to get even better at one of the hardest parts of building with AI: translating a desired customer outcome into the AI-first way to deliver it.
This role is dedicated to that work. You will study how leading software companies are putting AI in front of their users, form a clear point of view on what works, and bring that perspective to RA+. You will partner closely with our product managers to explore new ways to deliver on customer outcomes, and with engineering to turn recurring patterns into platform capabilities that every product can draw on. You will not own a product roadmap or manage a team; your impact comes from judgment, prototypes, and the patterns and thinking you share with others.
This is a hands-on, principal-level individual contributor role reporting directly to the CTO.
What will you do?- Track how leading SaaS and enterprise software companies are putting AI into their products, and develop a well-reasoned point of view on the interaction patterns that are working for end users.
- Serve as a trusted resource to the product organization for how users should experience AI: where it belongs in a workflow, where it should stay out of the way, and which emerging practices are mature enough for us to adopt.
- Partner with RA+ product managers on real requirements and desired outcomes, and prototype AI-first approaches concrete enough to evaluate and decide on together.
- Build and maintain a library of AI use-case patterns, drawn from the market and from our own prototypes, written so a product manager can pick one up and apply it to their own work.
- Partner with engineering to turn the use cases that keep recurring into shared platform capabilities, so a problem solved once becomes something every RA+ product can rely on rather than rebuild.
- Shape, alongside engineering, what those capabilities should do and how they should behave, grounded in the patterns and in what product managers need to use them well. Engineering owns the architecture and the build; you own the use case it serves and see it through to adoption.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?- A genuine point of view on AI in software. You can speak concretely about how enterprise and SaaS products are incorporating AI, what makes an end-user interaction effective, and where the field is heading.
- Continuously learning new AI technologies and keeping current as the tools evolve. You are fluent enough to understand what a capability makes possible and how it would be used in a product.
- A track record of taking an ambiguous requirement or outcome and, working with product and the people who own it, finding the AI-first way to deliver it.
- The instinct and ability to prototype. You make ideas tangible with a prompt, a flow, or a worked example, and you understand how these experiences behave when they are wrong, slow, or ungrounded in real data.
- Experience partnering with engineering to turn a repeated product need into a reusable platform capability, and the clarity to articulate the use case that capability exists to serve.
- Evidence that you make other product people better. You have left behind examples, frameworks, or patterns that others went on to use on their own.
- The ability to learn an unfamiliar domain quickly and reimagine how it should work.
- Writing and communication that other people can follow and build on. Much of your impact in this role comes through the clarity of what you share.
What's in it for me?- High-impact role where your technical decisions shape product strategy and outcomes
- Opportunity to lead transformative projects and mentor talented engineers
- Collaborative culture that values specialized expertise and continuous innovation
- Flexibility to work on cutting-edge solutions that push technological boundaries
