Job Title: Quantitative Trading Engineer (Java)

Overview

As a Lead Engineer in our Quantitative Fixed Income Engineering team, you will partner with the Quant Trading team to deliver quantitatively led pricing and trading solutions for the Rates and Credit Businesses.

You will need a passion for delivering high quality software using modern development practices. You will be an integral part of Bank's Quantitative Trading infrastructure working closely with the wider Starts group and the underlying Technology teams. Success will be achieving by delivering robust, performant, and successful trading solutions.

What You'll Do
  • Lead development of new features in both trading strategies and the overall trading stack
  • Identify, and resolve, stability issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Participate fully in code reviews as both author and reviewer
  • Work closely with engineering peers both locally and in other regions to deliver successful solutions


How You'll Lead
  • Form a successful partnership with desk quants/traders on a day to day basis to deliver valuable changes to your trading strategies
  • Work closely with the core platform engineering team to leverage, and improve upon, common solutions


Skills You'll Need
  • Strong skills with Java
  • Consistent experience in developing high performance and/or low latency applications
  • Proficiency in developing e-trading systems
  • Familiarity with Python3 and KDB is beneficial

  • Experience of modern patterns for continuous delivery of software
  • A proven track record of delivering excellent technical solutions into production
  • Able to deliver complex features independently and collaboratively as necessary

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York City office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $155,000 to $252,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
