The Director, Quality Strategy, Performance & Operations leads Seattle Children's year-round enterprise program for the U.S. News & World Report (USNWR) Best Children's Hospitals survey and related national pediatric benchmarking. Reporting to the Vice President, Chief Quality and Safety Officer, this role integrates rigorous analytics, disciplined program management, and cross-functional improvement to help leaders understand performance, prioritize opportunities, and strengthen outcomes for children and families. The Director oversees the full annual cycle, including methodology surveillance, strategic modeling, data validation, submission readiness, performance tracking, and executive reporting. The role partners closely with executive leaders, specialty programs, clinical and operational teams, finance, research, quality, and data and analytics teams to ensure submissions are accurate, complete, well documented, and ethically managed, and that ranking insights are translated into sustainable clinical and operational improvement.
Required Education and ExperienceMaster’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, statistics, data science, healthcare informatics, business administration, quality improvement, or a related field.
Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in healthcare analytics, enterprise program or project management, performance improvement, external benchmarking, or a related field, including at least three years leading complex cross-functional initiatives.
Experience working in a healthcare delivery organization and with clinical, operational, financial, or quality data.
Demonstrated ability to interpret complex external methodologies and technical specifications, translate requirements into an actionable work plan, and advise senior leaders on implications and priorities.
Experience with data validation, measure specifications, data governance, source documentation, reconciliation, and audit-ready processes.
Demonstrated success developing dashboards, forecasts, scenario analyses, or other decision-support products for clinical and executive audiences.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or comparable AI analytic and visualization tools.
Experience managing multiple interdependent workstreams, deadlines, risks, and stakeholders in a complex organization.

Experience in a pediatric or academic medical center and familiarity with improvement science, statistical process control, and specialty-specific clinical outcomes.
Experience supervising analysts or program staff and managing external consultants or vendors.
Compensation Range
$142,991.00 - $214,487.00 per year
Salary Information
This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.
