Position: Quality Engineer Location: Cary, Illinois
We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support customer quality, manufacturing quality, and continuous improvement initiatives across our global organization.
About the Role and Your Impact- Partner with customers to define product quality requirements
- Support reliability, performance analysis, and customer quality requests
- Assist manufacturing with process capability studies and statistical analysis
- Evaluate inspection and testing equipment
- Develop and maintain quality procedures
- Prepare and approve manufacturing procedures, drawings, specifications, and test documentation
- Participate in customer and internal audits
- Collaborate across Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials, and Marketing/Contracts Administration
- Provide guidance on IATF 16949 compliance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Who We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of Quality Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering experience
- Hands-on manufacturing and inspection experience
- Strong understanding of quality tools and statistical methods
- Excellent communication and customer support skills
Preferred Skills- Experience with IATF 16949
- Automotive, aerospace, medical, or defense manufacturing experience
- Audit and corrective action experience
- Lean or Six Sigma knowledge
- Experience reviewing customer specifications and contractual quality requirements
