Full Job Description
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing quality assurance and quality control processes for HGA's engineering and design deliverables. This role focuses on technical quality management, procedural compliance, internal audits, and continuous improvement across all engineering and design disciplines. The QA/QC Manager ensures that project teams follow HGA standards, industry codes, and client-specific requirements while driving a culture of quality and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain HGA's engineering and design QA/QC program, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct quality audits on engineering deliverables, including calculations, drawings, specifications, and design packages.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design discipline department managers and leads to identify gaps, corrective actions, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and update quality metrics, checklists, templates, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and Lesson(s) Learned activities tied to quality issues and implement preventative measures.
  • Train engineering and design staff on QA/QC processes and expectations.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers to confirm adherence to quality standards throughout project lifecycle.
  • Participate in proposal development by providing quality-related inputs and staffing considerations.
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for engineering quality management systems.
  • Occasionally support execution of projects as a lead or key contributor in respective discipline.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of engineering, design, or technical QA/QC experience.
  • Familiarity with multi-discipline design and industrial project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering quality standards, audits, and documentation practices.
  • Experience implementing or improving QA/QC programs within an EPC or engineering services environment preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and process-development skills.
  • Candidates must be within commuting distance from one of HGA's engineering offices located in Ruston, LA, Shreveport, LA, The Woodlands, TX, or Baton Rouge, LA.
  • Occasional travel will be required to other Engineering offices.
