Current state license as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Current CPR certificate
Two years of experience in psychiatric and/or correctional healthcare
Proficient with electronic medical records
Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance including background check and drug screen
Responsibilities
Perform psychiatric examinations and evaluations, including diagnosis and treatment
Collaborate with BHD and/or BHPs to create treatment plans for at-risk patients
Attend morning huddle calls for multidisciplinary treatment planning when necessary
Obtain patient histories and verify medication, ensuring accurate treatment plans using POMR format
Coordinate activities of patient care and support staff
Contribute to the development of mental health policies and procedures

Full Job Description
Responsibilities
Performs psychiatric examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation and health education
Works closely with the BHD and/or BHPs in identifying appropriate treatment plans for at-risk patients, or as needed
Intermittently attends morning huddle calls, when indicated and/or when there are high-risk patients that require multidisciplinary treatment planning and collaboration
Obtains patient histories, follows up with medication verification efforts, reviews pertinent medical history and develops patient care treatment plans, ensuring completeness and accuracy using the POMR format
Provides support in coordinating the activities of patient care and/or support staff
Participates in developing specific mental health policies and procedures, when indicated
Qualifications
