You Are: Project to Close Configuration Specialist

The Work:

The Project to Close Configuration Specialist is responsible for designing, configuring, validating, and supporting all Oracle Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Project Accounting components that drive the project-to-close lifecycle. This role translates business and financial requirements into Oracle Cloud ERP or Oracle EBS configurations that enable accurate project setup, cost capture, funding, billing, revenue recognition, asset capitalization, and final closeout. The Specialist ensures system stability, data quality, and compliance across all project accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure Project Portfolio Management components including project templates, project types, burden schedules, cost rules, expenditure types, and work-breakdown structures
  • Maintain setups supporting cost collection, funding allocation, billing events, revenue methods, cost-capitalization rules, and project-status transitions
  • Ensure correct integration setup between Projects, Time & Labor, Procurement, Payables, Receivables, and Fixed Assets
  • Update configuration workbooks, maintain setup documentation, and manage configuration migration across environments
  • Troubleshoot cross-module project-accounting issues and support testing cycles (SIT, UAT, regression)
  • Partner with finance and operations teams to ensure project-accounting configuration aligns with policies and compliance requirements
  • Support the full project lifecycle from initial setup through financial closeout
