Job DescriptionBAE Systems is seeking a Junior Project Manager to support our work for the U.S. Navy's Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) command. This position helps a senior project manager execute a complex, fast-paced weapons integration project that is part of a large systems engineering portfolio. The role requires a self-starter with excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills who can anticipate needs, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
Responsibilities include:
- identifying and managing risks/opportunities/issues
- communicating and collaborating effectively with peers, leadership, and customers
- coordinating team-wide inputs to project reviews and milestones
- identifying and helping to implement process improvements
- maintaining documentation and knowledge repositories
- supporting various project planning, monitoring, and reporting tasks

Required Skills and Education- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of related experience (i.e., performing most or all of the above responsibilities) on a DoD/DoW contract within the past 6 years
- At least 1 year of experience using SharePoint within the past 4 years
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of basic project management concepts and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, critical path analysis)
Preferred Skills and Education- CAPM or PMP certification
- Experience as a SharePoint admin or site owner
- Familiarity with Confluence and/or Jira
- Experience in or supporting the U.S. Navy
