municipal water and wastewater engineering projects, spanning from conceptual planning and permitting to final design, bidding, and construction.
Our
water engineering services include:
- Raw water supply systems, including surface water intakes and well development
- Water treatment plant design and upgrades
- Water storage tanks and reservoirs
- Pump stations and distribution systems
Our
wastewater engineering expertise includes:
- Wastewater treatment plant planning and design
- Sanitary sewer system evaluations and rehabilitation
- Lift station and pump station design
- Process piping and mechanical system layouts
The Project Manager will lead multidisciplinary project teams, manage client relationships, and play a key role in growing our regional presence in the
water/wastewater utility sector.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Management- Develop scopes of work, budgets, and contracts for water/wastewater projects.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Assign, manage, and coordinate team schedules and tasks, including subconsultants.
- Lead project kickoff and progress meetings.
- Conduct QA/QC reviews per HR Green protocols to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise construction administration and field personnel.
- Ensure timely client invoicing and payment follow-up.
Technical Delivery- Apply engineering expertise to independently complete technical tasks related to water treatment, wastewater treatment, distribution and collection systems, and pump station design.
- Serve as Engineer of Record on key project deliverables.
- Communicate directly with clients regarding technical matters and design recommendations.
Business Development- Support business development efforts by identifying new water/wastewater project opportunities.
- Participate in proposals, cost estimates, and interviews for municipal clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with water and wastewater utility clients.
- Cross-sell other HR Green services and actively participate in industry organizations (e.g., WEF, AWWA, APWA).
Education and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Florida or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater engineering, including project and team management.
- Proven ability to manage water and wastewater design and construction projects.
- Strong client-facing skills with a track record of building and expanding municipal relationships.
- Proficiency in water/wastewater planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
