Job Description

Dewberry is seeking a Project Manager – Water/Wastewater to join our Orlando, Lakeland, Jacksonville, Gainesville, or Tampa office. This role centers on leading municipal water and wastewater  engineering projects and serving as the key technical resource for a diverse portfolio of public infrastructure projects throughout Florida. The ideal candidate is experienced with a proven track record delivering municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities, booster and pump station projects, pipeline collection and transmission, site/civil infrastructure design. In this role, the engineer collaborates within a multidisciplinary team and plays a key role in directing technical efforts and project management, including scope development with clients, preparing and developing preliminary design reports, technical memorandums, feasibility studies, engineering calculations, hydraulic analysis and modeling support, preparing technical proposals, coordinating production of design drawings and specifications, conducting research, providing services during construction, providing QA/QC, and mentoring junior engineers and designers.

 

Responsibilities
  • Assist with developing and managing water/wastewater projects, primarily focusing on treatment facilities, collection and distribution systems, pipeline infrastructure and site/civil improvements. Work includes the development of studies and technical reports, design and construction services for treatment facilities, collection and distribution systems; including, but not limited to, process evaluations and troubleshooting, feasibility studies, master planning, design, and regulatory negotiation/permitting. 
  • Work with design team across multiple offices and multiple disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans. 
  • Meet client deadlines and project budgets. 
Required Skills & Required Experience

• B.S. Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. • 5-15  years’ experience with progressive responsibilities for public sector water and wastewater projects. • FL PE required.• Project Management Experience leading complex multi-discipline projects.• Experience with AutoCAD is preferred. • Familiar with Hydraulic Modeling software.• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.• Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work in a team environment. • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff. • Water/Wastewater infrastructure experience.
