As a
Project Manager, PMO focused on New Product Development (NPD) within the Spine division, you'll lead multi-disciplinary project teams from Project Charter through Planning, Development, Verification & Validation, and Launch for spinal implants and instruments - ensuring projects are delivered on scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
What You'll Do:- Lead the development of the project charter and project management plan; direct, manage, monitor, and control the project
- Meet with stakeholders to refine project scope, create detailed Work Breakdown Structures, and obtain management approval
- Develop and manage detailed project Gantt charts; analyze critical path and major workstreams
- Establish, monitor, and maintain project budgets in collaboration with supervisors and stakeholders
- Develop and execute risk management plans - identify, analyze, and respond to project risks
- Contribute to Procurement Management Plans and collaborate on the selection of partners
- Estimate, acquire, and assign project team resources; define roles, responsibilities, and deliverables; provide feedback on team member performance
- Develop and execute Stakeholder and Communications Management Plans
- Build strong working relationships across internal and external teams while driving results under demanding timelines
- Influence without direct authority and maintain high team morale
- Incorporate end-user feedback to refine scope and effectively communicate changes to stakeholders
- Keep the customer at the heart of decision-making and exercise sound judgment amid ambiguity
- Oversee and coordinate team members and stakeholders across multiple VB Spine locations, including international sites
What You Bring:- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 4+ years of relevant work experience
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred
- Experience leading projects in a regulated industry (medical device experience preferred)
- Proficiency with project management tools: MS Project, Project for the Web, MS Teams, Power BI, Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead large team meetings
- Strong emotional intelligence, conflict resolution skills, and ability to stay calm under pressure
- Ability to influence without authority and drive results in a matrixed environment
- Growth mindset with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
Compensation:Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and performance. The typical pay range for this position is $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors including experience level, project management expertise, and market conditions.
