Project Manager. In this key role, you will work closely with various municipalities and contractors on a variety of traffic signal and street lighting modification projects. This is a full-time salaried position based in Rocky View County, Alberta, reporting directly to the General Manager.

The successful candidate shall have the following qualifications: - Minimum five (5) years' supervisory experience as a project manager in the electrical or civil construction industry.
- Class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract is required.
- Prior experience in the electrical industry is preferred.
- Extensive experience and competency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, Adobe PDF).
- Excellent organization, time management and negotiation skills.
- Strong job costing and change management experience.
- Dedicated, committed and safety conscious.
- Excellent communication skills.
- General knowledge of highway infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience with Accubid, SiteDocs and Fieldwire is an asset.
This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to:- Works closely with various municipalities and contractors on projects that include but are not limited to:
- Traffic signal modifications such as: traffic cabinet equipment, signal timing, lighting, communications, and detection systems.
- Street lighting modifications such as: streetlight relocation, new streetlight installations, and LED fixture upgrades.
- Review contracts, drawings, specifications, estimates, permits, site conditions, and stakeholder requirements.
- Maintain cost controls, commitments, forecasts, productivity tracking, quantity reporting, cash-flow awareness, progress billings, and contracts-in-progress reporting; identify variances and implement corrective actions.
- Implement inspection and test requirements, manage deficiencies and non-conformances, verify materials and workmanship, and maintain complete quality records.
- Issue accurate progress, cost, schedule, risk, safety, quality, and procurement updates; escalate material issues with practical recommendations.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance information, warranties, turnover packages, final quantities, claims resolution, and lessons learned.
- Communicates with Supervisors, Foreman and other Project Managers regarding project needs and performance.
- Issues purchase orders and subcontracts as required.
- Creates and maintains project schedules.
- Liaises with clients and attends site meetings as required.
- Supports field personnel with safety deliverables including forms, permits, procedures and other documentation.
- Conducts site visits prior to and during construction.
- Attends and fully participates in regular job staffing, scheduling, and progress meetings with Supervisors and/or the General Manager.
- Ensures all work operations adhere to project quality standards.
- Maintains open communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and inspectors, and for preparing and disseminating reports as needed or required.
- Is responsible for assuring that Subcontractors meet the requirements and expectations of the project.
