Position Summary:

This position is for a Project Manager, IT Applications to build upon the globalization of R&D applications with centralized application management at Taiho Oncology, Inc. This role will ensure that project stakeholders including TOI, TPC, and Otsuka Holdings collaborate successfully on projects and that the project requirements and project communications are managed globally through TOI.

This role also requires support of existing business applications providing daily support, release planning and oversight globally. The successful candidate will lead the implementation of application and enhancement projects from planning through deployment and support. The Project Manager, IT Applications is responsible for ensuring that support processes are managed properly under the direction of the supervisor. The role will also function as a liaison between IT and the Business Client, and act as the go-to person that represents the application team support.

Performance Objectives:

• Assume a role of Project Management Office for R&D Application's projects.
• Manage projects to introduce new systems or upgrades to existing systems.
• Keep information accessible by sorting and filing documents in global collaboration workspaces.
• Provides R&D application planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes R&D IT and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Manage software patches and upgrades to existing applications.
• Manage daily operations and end-user support for assigned business area applications and the resolution of all user issues affecting production operations.
• Liaise between the user community and IT to ensure effective End User Supportfor access requests, service requests, training, and usability issues.
• Document end-user support processes and provide knowledge references for the service desk.
• Produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple, concurrent assignments using time management skills.
• Manage relationships with software vendors and consultants.
• Follow all IT SOPs and Guidances for the delivery and support of regulated systems.
• Execute projects following industry standard best practices and ensures that vendor PMs also follow best practices when executing a project for Taiho.
• Lead the requirements gathering for new business solutions and execute the RFP process, as required.

Education/Certification Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent in experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Minimum five years' experience in information technology. Pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Experience supporting end users for production systems.
• Experience building user requirements and functional specifications.
• Experience leading and working with cross-functional and remote teams.
• Experience working in a highly-regulated IT environment with a strong documentation culture and formal change management process.
• Strong Project Management experience required.
• Knowledge of following R&D processes:
  • Clinical Trial Management
  • Content Management
  • Electronic Regulatory Publishing, Submission and Tracking
  • Quality Management
  • Pharmacovigilance
• Operational knowledge of MS Word, Project, Power Point and Excel are required.
• The successful candidate will be able to correspond in a poised and professional manner with all levels of management.

• Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to function independently as well as part of a cohesive team.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience supporting following applications a plus: ARIS, MasterControl, TrackWise, Cara DMS, Wingspan eTMF, WinNonLin, MediData RAVE and SAS.
• Working experience in Microsoft CoPilot.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $130,050 - $153,000 annually. This pay range is based on the market range for positions of this type. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including annual bonus/incentive comp plans, potential long term incentive plan, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate/employee receives an offer of employment.
